MAY 28, 2015: The New Look of a Candidate: Honesty seems to be a rare trait for a politician. That’s something Khalil will changed once he’s in office. The former FNN reporter wants to run for city council member in Vermont because there’s a lack of perspective and diversity in politics. According to the US Census, Caucasians make up about 95 percent of Vermont’s population while there’s only around 1% of African Americans.  If there were more people like Khalil running for a seat, things might be more fair and balanced for everyone.
