Roboknights Put Up Valiant Fight at Robotics Competition
On February 6, 2022, Friendship Robotknights Braylon Wims, Jakari Powell, Ahmad Nash, Alexander Santos, Kaniya Johnson, and Maya Jackson attended their second robotics competition of the season, Tipping Point. This competition was an amazing experience for us with lots of big robots in the alliance battles and singular skills challenges.

The Lifestyle of A Student In the Academy of Engineering
At Friendship Technology Preparatory Academy we have three academies that high school students can attend throughout their four years of school. Of course when you are a ninth grader you are in the Freshmen Academy and once you are a tenth grader until your senior year you can either be a part of the Academy of Engineering or the Academy of Urban Ecology.

Third Grader Wins LEGO Science Championship
This year Woodridge Elementary has a LEGO Junior League. This afterschool club is sponsored by our 3rd grade math teacher Ms.Taylor Dow. During the program, students are taught tons of math and science concepts through real-world application. We are able to design, build, and create using LEGO’s products.
4th Graders are Buzzing Over an Electrical Circuit
Today at Woodridge, students acted as if they were electrical engineers by making a representation of a circuit. There was so much buzz going on in Ms. Lewis’ 4th grade science classroom. The electrical circuit was the topic of the lesson and students reviewed the concepts of a closed circuit, an open circuit, and a short circuit.
NSBE Jr. Takes Over Greensboro, North Carolina!
From November 10th through November 12th, 2017, Collegiate and Tech Prep NSBE Jr. members went to the Greensboro, North Carolina convention. It was an amazing experience. We stayed at a beautiful hotel for three days with great food! Who wouldn’t be happy because of that?
