Think Like A Man: The Movie That Makes You Rethink Relationships

Based on Steve Harvey’s book “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man”, this movie is about a group of friends who are all trying to work through the chaos of their relationships, as the women begin to use another man's relationship advice against them to get what they want. Each couple is going through their own troubles and complications, but somehow they all find a way to help each other out. One friend, Zeke, is the ‘player’. He can’t seem to stay committed to one woman, but he finds a woman who isn’t like others he has dated, one that stands her ground. He decided that she’s the woman that he wants to really lock in with, but he has to prove it to her. Micheal is the ‘mama’s boy’. His mother is overbearing and knows no boundaries, but the woman that he really wants a future with has her own son and refuses to put up with his mother’s interference in their relationship. There’s also the ‘non-committer’ and the ‘dreamer,’ Jeremy and Dominic. They both have to prove to their women that they can meet their standards and provide for them as they properly should.
I enjoyed every aspect of the movie. I love how the director was able to capture the complications of black love, or just love in general, in the early 2000’s. They also combined that with comedy, which is one of my favorite parts. This movie is really something that you can run to whenever you need a good laugh. This is the perfect comfort movie— you can get the warm feeling from the romance and the upbeat, happy feeling from the comedy. The movie just brings out all positive emotions.
All of the characters had amazing development and I loved how the plot developed. I could literally watch this movie 14 times in a row with no issue. I personally really enjoy this movie and I would recommend it to everyone I know, especially somebody that enjoys romantic comedies. I rate this movie a 10/10. It’s the best black rom-com and you can find this movie on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and Apple TV
