“Black Panther” is a very influential and inspiring comic book character within the Marvel Universe.  He is one of the few positive images of Africans and African Americans appearing during the height of segregation and racial tension in the 1960s.

On July 17th, 2015, the FNN Summer Collegiate News Team ventured to the City of Lights. It was a unbelievable visiting Rockefeller Center, Times Square, fancy restaurants, high end stores and interviewing the people of the city. On Saturday October 17th FNN went to the 2015 Teacher of the Year Award Gala. The Gala was about showing what really drives our fellow students to success—their teachers. There were parents, students, other teachers, members of the Friendship family and Roland Martin a friend of FCPS....

It’s hard to put into words how I feel about this summer, but I’ll try the best way I can. It was amazing.  I did something that I could have never done if it wasn’t for the TOMODACHI US-Japan Youth Exchange Program, a six week two-way exchange program between the United States and Japan.  I was chosen through an application process, then an interview.
